Program Director
Looking to make a difference in the lives of young people and be part of an amazing and growing mental health team? Embark Behavioral Health is hiring for a Residential Director. Our newest Adolescent Residential Treatment Center in Greeley, CO, located just outside of Denver, is hiring a Residential Director.
This program is serving adolescents experiencing and struggling with school refusal, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, and other mental health issues.
Students at our Residential Treatment Center live in a family style residence where community and interpersonal relationships are key. Our treatment center staff offer guidance and support to adolescents and their families that include multi-modal family system approaches to amplify and solidify change.
Responsibilities
At Embark, our Program Director works with the Residential Counselors team to assist our students during life's difficult moments. The care and treatment provided helps students and their families move toward a healthy and healing home environment. The Program Director is a key member of the leadership team and serves as a leader to the academic coordinator, dietary department and residential department. Our healing, experiential approach involves partnering with families to assist in developing communication methods, social skills, conflict management and academic progress.
Responsibilities:
- Management of residential and experiential education managers including supervision, training, professional development, performance management, and scheduling.
- Oversee and assist with implementation of individualized student development plans, supervision of students, and communication with parents and referring professionals.
- Participate in management team meetings as well as interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
- Training for all employees regarding delivery of services in milieu setting and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation- available for after-hours calls and on-site assistance as necessary.
- Manage payroll documentation for department including time-card approval and leave requests.
- Participate in program development and best practices initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR in recruiting, interviewing and hiring of staff
- Tracking and completing data relevant to staffing.
- Other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with adolescents in therapeutic program(s).
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- 21 years of age or older
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Able to pass criminal investigation background check
- Current driver's license
- Ability to effectively communicate and build healthy relationships.
- Ability to set and teach positive values
- Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid.
- Skill in de-escalating agitated students.
- Ability to plan, implement, and adjust to plans accordingly
