As a Flex Houseparent Couple, you will live on campus and serve as consistent, nurturing role models for a small group of students. Key Responsibilities
- Reside in on-campus student homes and provide daily guidance and care for approximately 8–12 students
- Foster a supportive, family-style atmosphere that promotes student well-being and development
- Manage household responsibilities including budgeting, medication administration, transportation, and reporting
- Initially serve in multiple student homes before being assigned to a specific residence
- Drive student home vans with proper certification and ensure safe transportation of students
- Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday chapel services with a Judeo-Christian focus (while respecting all beliefs)
- Maintain compliance with campus policies, including smoke-free, weapon-free, and alcohol restrictions while on duty
- Support student routines and model positive behavior as trusted role models
Requirements
- Legally married couples with at least two years of marriage
- Both partners must be 27 years of age or older
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from underserved communities
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain certification to drive student vans
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- No more than three dependent children residing in the student home
- Willingness to live in a pet-friendly environment with restrictions (only fish and one approved dog breed permitted)
- Commitment to upholding integrity, serving as exemplary role models
- Both partners must complete individual employment applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in youth care or educational residential settings
- Comfort with leading spiritual activities consistent with the community’s values
