Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role includes rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and serving as a scribe for providers during patient visits. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs

Prepare patients for exams and procedures

Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures

Serve as a medical scribe for providers, documenting patient encounters in real time within the EMR

Accurately document histories, assessments, procedures, and plans as directed by providers

Administer injections and medications as ordered

Update medication lists and patient histories

Provide patient education and follow-up instructions

Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and follow infection-control standards

Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and staff

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and office policies

Qualifications

Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)

High school diploma or GED required

Previous clinical experience preferred

Comfortable with medical documentation and scribing

Experience with EMR systems (Athena experience a plus)

Strong attention to detail and typing accuracy

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Reliable attendance and punctuality
