What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Emcor?

Hill York seeks a Human Resources Coordinator who is looking to gain hands-on experience in supporting all aspects of Human Resources including, but not limited to, recruitment, hiring, engagement, and labor relations. This person will also process weekly payroll and assist with marketing initiatives. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role whose goal is to provide excellent customer service to all employees, ensure accurate record keeping, and maintain integrity and confidentiality.

Human Resources Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment efforts by reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews
  • Process new hires by drafting offer letters, initiating background screenings, entering data into HRIS, etc.
  • Complete form I-9, ensures proper documentation, and processes E-verify
  • Create new hire orientation schedules
  • Process weekly payroll for 230 employees by ensuring timeliness and accuracy
  • Create required payroll reports such as certified payrolls
  • Assist with benefits administration including new hire enrollments, qualified changes, and open enrollment
  • Run weekly benefit change reports and update employee deductions as necessary
  • Submit weekly benefit files to corporate to transfer to carriers and audit data
  • Conduct monthly audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy
  • Process employee status changes in appropriate systems
  • Coordinate marketing efforts by obtaining content and working with corporate marketing to post on company website, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Oversee employee trainings to ensure completion, including tracking, providing reports, following-up
  • Maintain employee personnel files
  • Keep employee data in all systems accurate and up to date
  • Update and maintain department SOP’s
  • Maintain company organization chart
  • Prepare necessary reports as needed
  • Other tasks and projects ad needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • SHRM-CP/PHR preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft office skills
  • ERP experience a plus
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
