Emerald Coast Health Alliance is a multi-specialty administrative office for our members that includes independent medical practices including primary care and multi-specialty physicians and facilities across the Panhandle. Your resume may be forwarded to several of our offices who are looking for a medical billing person.
Independent physician office is looking for an experienced, part time medical biller for their Crestview office.
The ideal candidate must have experience in all aspects of medical billing including the ability to enter claims information and then evaluate, manage and work the accounts through to completion. Reading and understanding EOB's, posting payments, filing appeals and working the AR is essential. The position also requires making phone calls to patients and insurance companies to resolve accounts.
Candidates must:
· Have previous Medical Billing experience
· Have experience working from and understanding EOB's
· Have the ability to follow-up with insurance companies and patients to resolve the accounts
· Be detail-oriented and able to multi-task
· Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills
· Be proficient with various software applications (Excel, Word) and EHR knowledgeable
· Be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
