What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asian Cuisine Deli Cook position at Emerald Queen Casino?
The Asian Cuisine Deli Cook is responsible for cooking Asian cuisine dishes to order while providing superior guest service by ensuring the quality of food. Duties include preparation and cooking of all Asian dishes according to established recipes, handles routine cleaning, assists in organizing the walk-ins and storage areas, helps with keeping work area neat, clean and organized. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.
Starting wage is $19.09/hr increasing to $20.29/hr at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Culinary training is preferred
Experience & Requirements:
- Prior experience cooking Asian dishes, prep cooking and pantry cooking
- Must have experience grilling, broiling and sauteing
- Must be capable of working on as many as 30 orders at one time
- Must be able to effectively coordinate cooking times with coworkers
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for longer than 8 hours
- Must be knowledgeable with food preparation and temperatures
- Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
