What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director position at Emerging Grace Ministries?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for working with the rest of the leadership team to design/manage the master schedule of activities for each resident; generating a calendar of activities that will be posted for residents and staff to see and follow.
Working with the rest of the leadership team to train and oversee Direct Care Staff interaction with residents to ensure that activities are being conducted properly.
Implement programs that include social and emotional health in addition to physical activities.
Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and that ample supplies are kept in stock for use.
Creating the staff schedule to ensure proper staff coverage is available during recreational outings and activities.
Assist LCCA with investigations and inspections; making sure that the campus is tour ready and in compliance with minimum standards and EGM policies & procedures.
Reports to the Licensed Child Care Administrator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a college degree in any social service, human service or victims’ studies. Experience working with children from hard places is preferred. Must have a valid Texas Driver's license.
Must be willing to undergo an initial background check, initial drug screening as well as random screenings and an annual TB test.
REQUIRED TRAINING: Position requires pre-service training, orientation,
CPR/First Aid, and EBI Handle with Care training. Training will be complete before being allowed in ration with children. Employee will be required to complete 20 hours of annual training with the start date as date of hire.
HOURS:
Full-time flexible hours; part of the on-call rotation.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and skills.
