Job Description

We are an equal opportunity employer looking for a leader to be responsible for controlling valve product lifecycle from concept to obsolescence, that develops and implements product management and marketing strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and customer service goals!

This role will work globally with customers, sales, world area marketing, and engineering collaborators to manage the lifecycle of the current products, define, develop and launch new products, product modifications, and buyout strategies to increase market share and expand into new markets.

In addition, you will be responsible for the driving and analyzing market trends, market research, competitive updates, technical differentiation and driving business opportunities for the product portfolio. As the global leader, you will bring forward and champion these opportunities from the World Area into the Business Units. Other responsibilities will include detailed understanding and management of the Financial and business performance on Gross Profit, Average Unit Price Mix, Price and Unit volumes for the product portfolio.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • New Product Development
    • Share the product vision and market application with engineering team
    • Develop, clarify and maintain product requirements
    • Develop, clarify and maintain product specific user interface requirements
    • Develop Appropriations Requests
    • Maintain deliverables for the gated new product development process
    • Manage the Product Backlog items as the Product Marketing Owner
    • Communicate development progress to management
  • Participate in various exciting marketing activities such as product launches and trade shows
    • Promoting the product portfolio and defining marketing plans and activities
    • Manage field trial programs
    • Own and manage RTQ’s for unreleased products
  • Product Literature
    • Develop user documentation and marketing material
  • Serve as subject matter expert to solve issues and provide product training
    • Train and mentor Sales and Service personnel (product and market segment focus)
    • Train Education Services personnel and support coursework development
    • Provide Technical assistance to global sales and marketing teams
WHO YOU ARE:

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • B.S. Engineering and a minimum of 2 years’ experience, 6 years’ industry related technical experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
  • Engineering background or related experience needed to investigate and develop customer application/product needs, conduct competitive analysis, develop product specifications and general product improvements consistent with market needs.
  • Experience in process engineering, sales, or marketing.
  • Understand process control or similar business, have a good knowledge of marketplace, competitive product customers, and applications.
  • Solid understanding of commercial and technical applications of control valve or similar products.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical experts and non-technical sales people
  • Ability to develop strong global relationships.
  • Strong communication skills to create a clear vision, customer value proposition, and sales intermediary value proposition.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure.

  • MBA
  • Ability to prioritize multiple priorities
  • Experience with FIELDVUE Instruments, ValveLink, Diagnostic background for Fisher Instruments
  • Gets Results
  • Software Coding experience
  • Controls System knowledge
