The Job As the Director of E-Commerce, you will be responsible for leading the E-Commerce team to accomplish sales and profit goals by growing business with existing customers and discovering and developing prospects into customers. You will develop the strategic direction of the E-Commerce team and be responsible for delivering the vision to the industry at trade and customer events. What you will do… Lead a team of Account Manager(s), Key Account Support Specialist(s), and Inside Sales Representative(s) to grow sales and profits. Monitor and react to industry trends in a rapidly evolving industry segment. Lead the organization in the recognition of and reaction to fast moving e com industry trends in products, IT changes, content requirements and emerging markets. Responsibility for department profitability, achieving sales goal, building team budgets and sales forecasts. Serve as sales support on existing major accounts and prospects presentations. Recruit and coach new talent to the organization. Mentor team members/develop talent and corporate culture. Serve as key liaison to develop visibility for the EJD company e com program within the industry. Responsible for the department’s P and L, budgets and forecasting. This responsibility will include leading the E Com to meet and exceed business targets. What you need to succeed… BA required, MBA preferred 7-10 years of E-Commerce experience. 5 Years E-Commerce Market Leadership Experience Leadership capability and skills to achieve continued organizational improvements, results, and functional successes. Progressive management and leadership experience: Strong leadership skills in coaching and developing employees. Facilitate professional development, evaluating job performance and productivity according to key metrics and driving continuous improvement of existing and newly established initiatives. Sales leadership experience Budgeting and PL management experience Strong data and analytical skills The ability to react to trends and lead team to maximize the opportunities within these industry shifts. Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to analyze complex situations by numerous internal\external variables and quickly define a proper approach to resolve the challenge. Must be a consummate team player, putting others before self, and actively engage stakeholders at all levels Possess the skills to bring multiple stakeholders together to produce results across the entire enterprise. 25% travel (industry events, customer visits, EJD trade shows, etc.) Report into the Oak Brook, IL office at minimum two days per week (Mondays/Wednesdays).
