What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Emma Marie's Groom & Daycare?
Emma Marie's Pet Care Facility is looking for one veterinary assistant and or technician to join our two facilities at 19 County Rd in Mattapoisett & 14 Ventura Drive in North Dartmouth, MA. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Administer necessary medication, feedings and health checks
- Exercise and supervise dogs in playgroups.
- Ability to lift pets weighing over 50lbs.
- Assist in feeding, health checks and updating owners on dogs' wellbeing.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment (we deep clean in down time, so must enjoy cleaning)
Qualifications
- At least three years' Experience working as a veterinary assistant or Vet Technician
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively on phone, in person and emails.
- Must be available for every other weekend shifts (3 hours shifts)
- Ability to multi-task effectively
