We're looking for a Patient Transport Supervisor who will work regularly with patients, providers, nursing teams on hospital units, imaging services technologists and nurses and is a critical component to ensuring a great patient experience. This individual will:
This position directly supervisors Patient Transporters and Lead Patient Transporters within their assigned sector(s)
This position acts as the liaison between patient transport operations and the clinical teams they support.
- Responsible for the hiring, training and onboarding of patient transporters within their assigned sector(s)
- Ensure sufficient staffing for transporters, responsible for creating schedules, finding coverage for PTO and call outs.
- Works with Manager to create staffing model to optimize transporter availability to meet the needs of the department(s).
- Partners with Manager and Director to develop departmental and staff goals, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for reporting out daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc request for data including but not limited to volume, turnaround time, sector volume, mode of transport, reason for delay, etc.
- This position is a working supervisor and will be required to work in transport in times of high volume and/or staffing shortages.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of related job experience, or bachelors degree with 1 year of related experience.
- Proficient with word processing, epic, excel and presentation applications.
