Description
INTRODUCTION
The Heavy Check Representative will be the liaison between Empire and the contracted Essential Maintenance Provider and quality control management for all heavy check maintenance procedures and maintenance program requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the aircraft heavy checks performed by the Essential Maintenance Provider are conducted in accordance with Empire Airlines' Customer Service Agreement.
- Provide on-site representation for Empire Airlines to facilitate good communication between the Essential Maintenance Provider and Empire Airlines. Approve man-hour estimates for routine and non-routine tasks.
- Research possibilities for alternative means of compliance for repairs. Coordinate with Purchasing on the priority of parts procurement.
- Make airworthy / non-airworthy determinations on heavy check non-routine forms.
- Make major / minor repair determinations for repairs, then forward findings and M70 forms to the aircraft CASS Coordinator for SDR report filing IAW PPM 3-03.
- Make corrosion-level determinations then forward Level 2 and 3 findings and M71 CPCP Reports to the CASS Coordinator and Technical Records for disposition.
- Provide Technical Records with Structural Repair Approval Sheets (SRAS) issued by the manufacturer to update the aircraft's records.
- Initiate M5 Maintenance Planning Action Requests for temporary repairs and supplemental inspections required by the manufacturer or follow-up inspections.
- As needed, research records for past maintenance and repairs to ensure the timely completion of each heavy check.
- Assist in problem solving any instructions for STCs or other documents such as Engineering Orders, as required.
- Initiate and assist in writing Engineering Orders for Empire Airlines' aircraft as needed to support repairs or modifications.
- As required, perform RII functions on functional check flights after heavy check maintenance and if properly authorized.
