Production Technician
Company Overview:
Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. (ESAero) is seeking Production Technicians to join our team. ESAero is a growing aerospace company in the San Luis Obispo area and provides services which include but are not limited to rapid system development, on-demand niche engineering, hands-on development/testing, and small UAS aerospace system manufacturing.
**This position is fully on-site at ESAero in San Luis Obispo, CA**
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Support the manufacturing team with the fabrication of composite parts and/or electromechanical assemblies
Follow written work instructions to assemble and document the build of each assembly.
Escalate any process or quality issues.
Assist the engineers as they create, modify & test products and processes
Help to create solutions to complex technical problems
Build and set up equipment
Analyze operations and offer suggestions for improvement.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Quick learner, hard-working with skilled hands
Technical hands-on capability with attention to detail. Including but not limited to: wiring, soldering, parts fabrication, assembly, and general shop work/maintenance
Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to verbally communicate, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, and be capable of doing basic mathematical calculations
Proficiency and experience with basic hand tools and their safe operation
A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
Ability to handle multiple assigned tasks
Self-motivated and must be able to work with a minimum of supervision
Willing to work as a team to reach daily goals and objectives
Excellent work ethic and attendance
2 years of experience
High school diploma.
A valid driver's licenses
US Citizen/Permanent Resident
Able to work onsite at ESAero Office locations in San Luis Obispo
Willing to relocate to San Luis Obispo, CA
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology
Experience in Composites
Certifications in IPC and J-STD
Experience assembling and/or testing complex electromechanical assemblies
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with parts and inventory management
SLO Partners UAV Completion Certificate
5 years of experience
