Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Residential Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage homebuilding projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The superintendent will coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to maintain a smooth workflow while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of residential construction projects, from site preparation to final walkthrough.
- Manage daily construction operations, ensuring work is completed according to plans and specifications.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to maintain efficiency.
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with building codes, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Identify and resolve issues or delays that may impact the construction schedule.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, homeowners, and stakeholders regarding project progress.
- Review and interpret blueprints, contracts, and work orders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, inspections, and change orders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience as a Superintendent in residential construction.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Technology: Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
