As a member of the Hospital Billing (HB) Central Business Office team, the Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible to review and revolve insurance accounts in a timely and accurate manner. This involves follow-up and resolution on outstanding underpayments and overpayments, as well as insurance denials that require research and rebuttal to obtain payment. Our next Accounts Receivable Specialist must be self-motivated and comfortable to perform in a remote environment, working both individually and as part of a team. We are an Epic/Resolute shop. Primarily remote. Big on efficiency and continuous improvement

Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Shift: Full time, day shift. REMOTE position with flexible start times from 7AM to 8AM ending between 3:30PM and 4:30PM
Experience:
1. Two/Three years healthcare billing experience and/or accounts receivable experience utilizing automated patient accounting systems (Epic Resolute desirable) preferred.
2. Microsoft Office applications experience. Intermediate Excel proficiency required.
3. Knowledge of insurance contracts, billing regulations and medical terminology preferred.
4. Knowledge of HCPCS/CPT/ICD-10 and revenue codes preferred.
Education:
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Licensures/Certifications:
Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)/American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM), or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)/Healthcare Financial Management Association desirable
