Under the general supervision of the histology supervisor, the Laboratory Assistant II processes and handles complex specimen processing for testing in the Anatomic Pathology area of the laboratory.

Shift: M-F 7:30am - 4pm, no weekend or holidays
Experience:
2 years laboratory experience required.
Proficiency in 2 different areas of the lab strongly preferred.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent, certification as a medical assistant or related field preferred, moderate knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills.
Licensures/Certifications:
Maintains certification in the Packaging and Shipping of Hazardous Goods.
If MA, certification preferred
Salary : $6,000
