Position Summary

The Financial Analyst drives financial insights and supports Empower’s mission through precise forecasting, budgeting, and strategic guidance. This role collaborates across teams to enhance financial planning and streamline reporting, contributing to data-driven decisions that expand access to affordable, innovative healthcare solutions.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Supports financial planning and forecasting by preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term projections aligned with company goals.
• Analyzes financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations for business decisions.
• Prepares and presents financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators, for senior management review.
• Collaborates with business units on financial support for projects, cost-saving initiatives, and capital investments to align with organizational goals.
• Develops and maintains financial models, conducts scenario analysis, and seeks process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Knowledge And Skills

• Requires advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills, strong analytical abilities, and familiarity with Business Intelligence tools like Alteryx, Power Business Intelligence, and financial planning software such as Hyperion or Adaptive Insights.
• Must have excellent communication skills for presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders, with adaptability, time management, and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Experience And Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a similar field, with a demonstrated ability to deliver results.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant) are a plus but not required.
