Empower Your Mind Therapy (EYMT) is looking to hire a full time psychotherapist to join our group practice. We have locations in New York City (Flatiron) and Long Island. We are looking for motivated, thoughtful and collaborative clinicians to join our team.We specialize in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adults and teens through individual and group modalities. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in gaining experience in a private practice setting. Clinicians currently employed with another private practice (either independently or with a group) should NOT apply.

The 5 Functions of Clinical Therapist at EYMT are:
- Delivering Individual and Group DBT sessions to Adults, adolescents and their parents
- Writing and maintaining clinical notes using our secure electronic health records online system (Simple Practice)
- Developing treatment plans for client care, using evidence-based treatment approaches for best practice
- Attending weekly team meetings (Wednesdays at 2pm) for team collaboration and skill enhancement
- Collaborating with parents and professionals as needed to best support our clients in reaching their goals
Requirements:
This position requires a slow build towards a minimum commitment of 26 direct client hours per week with non-negotiable nights at least 2x/week and possible weekend availability.
We are currently offering services in person and via telehealth. Services will mostly be provided remotely with a possibility of madanting 1-3 days in the office at either our NYC or Long Island locations.
- Must be a professionally licensed mental health counselor or social worker to practice in New York State as an LMHC, MHC-LP, LMSW, or LCSW
- Familiar with using the ICD-10 for clinical diagnoses and CPT codes for insurance reimbursement.
- Experience in working with adults and/or teens and parents
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Experience with DBT is a plus but not required
- Ability to see clients in both our NYC and Long Island location is a plus, but not required.
In addition to working with adults and teens , all candidates MUST be willing to work with at least 1 of the following populations (training and supervision in all areas will be provided):
