Director - Inside Sales

Emser Tile

Emser Tile LLC, a nation-wide industry leader in the distribution of high-quality ceramic tile and natural stone seeks an experienced Director of Inside Sales. Our 50-plus-year history of unprecedented and continuous growth has created immediate opportunities for professionals. This position is located at our Corporate office in Los Angeles, Ca.

Background / Experience

Strong track record of multi - unit / regional level management experience

Ability to manage at multiple levels and able to adjust equally from strategic to hands-on

Ideal candidate has background from flooring industry or ancillary construction/building materials/finishes industry

Communication

Effective communicator with large audiences, smaller groups and 1 on 1

Skilled with use of various platforms for communication:

  • Organizing and orchestrating meetings with large and small groups
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Drives uniformity across the branches
  • Responsible for utilizing ISR’s to make cold calls, follow up on inactive accounts
  • Assigns incoming leads to showroom personnel for follow up and action plans
  • Creates National Programs to be used across branches
  • Conference calls and virtual mediums
  • Local level – on the ground
  • One on one

Capable of gaining rapport with partners at all levels

Attentive listener; Engaging, able to interpret and read between the lines

Work with OSR to promote showroom aspirational experience

Management

Able to plan and break down complex or long term initiatives into short term plans and tasks

Involves all relevant partners and stakeholders – gets partners

Able to interpret, make decisions and perform through ambiguity and “gray area”

Able to effectively manage through competing or conflicting direction

Financial Management

Successful track record of P&L management and successful financial results

Exhibited understanding of cash flow and balance sheet

Understands budgeting process, fiscal prioritization and managing to financial budgets

Strong use of reporting and data

Able to develop and socialize effective comprehensive plans to improve financial performance

Business Development

Passionate interest in industry and customer channels

Understands how to access, utilize and interpret external and internal information and data

Innovative; Creative thinker

Able to influence and work with partners or find outside sources to procure resources

Track record of successful execution:

  • Owns Initiatives and sees projects through to completion

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

This position is time-consuming and does not stop at the end of a regular business day. Candidates must be able to manage their time to meet the needs of the business.
