JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Logistics/Warehouse Associate
An experienced Goods in/Warehouse operator, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, within our busy operation at Fletcher, NC.
Experience in a Warehouse/Manufacturing environment is required but training will be given where necessary for the right candidate. The position works as part of a team and an ability and willingness to learn, contribute and work effectively to meet the goals of the team and operation are essential.
Role and Responsibilities
- Always adhering to the sites Health and Safety procedures without fail.
- Ensuring that as tasked, Materials and Products are accurately received, stored, moved. This will include carrying out regular stock checks and ensuring that stock data is up to date and accurate.
- Efficient storage, loading & unloading of all Emtelle products following our standard operating procedures, as trained and instructed. This will include dealing effectively and accurately with all relevant documentation.
- Possesses a clean, up to date, licence for both counterbalance forklifts.
- Carries out daily inspection of all equipment at point of first use for safety and effective operation and reports any defects or observations accurately and promptly to your manager.
- Operates all such vehicles safely and with due care and attention, always observing safe loading and unloading practices, speed limits and all special restrictions or instructions without fail
- Loads and unloads incoming and outgoing vehicles in a timely, careful and safe manner. The Associate being responsible for the safety of the load, the driver when on-site and ensuring that product is
unloaded/loaded without damage.
- Pays strict attention to the documentation pertaining to the load and unloading procedure. Ensuring that the physical products loaded/unloaded match the paperwork and notifying immediately any discrepancies, including damage to incoming goods and not accepting or loading/unloading damaged or incorrect product/ loads.
- Takes an active part in ensuring that the goods in/warehouse area is always kept clean and hazard free.
Experience
- Goods in /Warehouse experience in a comparable environment and disciplines
- Previous forklift experience and certification.
- Computer literacy in ERP systems, desirable within SAP.
Person Specification:
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate on a sustained basis in their employment the following.
- A high standard of proficiency in handling production equipment.
- Understanding and adherence in following both written and verbal work instructions.
- Highly self-motivated, disciplined and organised.
- Time Management, they will deliver a high and sustained standard of attendance and timekeeping.
Hours of Work
We currently operate and require staff to be willing to commit to working shift patterns and overtime as required.
