Overview:
Cook with Color is a fast-paced, fashion-forward cookware brand that partners with top retailers across the U.S. We seek a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Associate Account Manager to lead day-to-day execution and ensure flawless service for our Walmart business. This role is critical in maintaining strong retail relationships, overseeing compliance, and driving operational excellence across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Account Management Support
- Assist the Key Account Manager in preparing for Walmart buyer meetings—including compiling sales reports, coordinating samples, and building presentations.
- Attend meetings, take detailed notes, and track all action items to ensure timely and accurate follow-up.
- Manage QMS, item setup, and maintenance in retailer systems (e.g., Retail Link), ensuring data accuracy and readiness for launch.
- Presentation & Sales Material Coordination
- Work with the design, marketing, and product development teams to create compelling, trend-aligned presentations for Walmart.
- Ensure all sales assets and materials are aligned with buyer expectations and submitted on schedule.
Compliance & Requirements Management
- Oversee internal team for all Walmart compliance-related activities, including product testing, labeling, documentation, and safety certifications.
- Act as the main liaison between Walmart and internal compliance partners to ensure 100% alignment with retailer standards.
- Monitor timelines and proactively manage all submissions to meet retailer deadlines and avoid delays or penalties.
Production & Logistics Coordination
- Partner with the production and operations teams to ensure purchase orders are placed, confirmed, and shipped on time.
- Monitor open orders and delivery schedules, resolve shipment issues, and communicate updates to internal stakeholders and Walmart as needed.
- Work with the production team to obtain costing and landed cost information for new and existing items.
Inventory, Forecasting & Replenishment Support
- Support demand planning by tracking inventory, analyzing sell-through, and collaborating with internal planning and replenishment teams.
- Identify potential stock risks or order gaps and escalate with proactive solutions.
- Cross-Functional Communication & Execution
- Serve as the communication bridge between sales, design, production, compliance, and logistics to keep projects on track.
- Create systems and checklists to ensure no detail is missed and deliverables are executed with excellence.
- Work closely with the design/art teams to meet all Walmart-related deadlines and ensure visual assets align with seasonal trends and buyer feedback.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of product development and sourcing processes to support cross-functional collaboration and product execution.
- 2 years of experience in retail account management, sales operations, or compliance within a consumer goods or retail-facing company.
- Prior experience working with Walmart or mass retailers is strongly preferred.
- High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills across departments and with external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Walmart platforms like Retail Link, NOVA, or GRS is a plus.
- Passion for great product and brand presentation with a collaborative, “own-it” attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Salary : $65,000 - $90,000
