Basic Function: Responsible for receiving incoming products. Ensure products are stored and issued properly in and from the storeroom. Maintain cost and quality controls of the resort, and smooth flow of received items and requisitions.
Work Performed:
- Receive all goods and ensure quality is up to resort standards. Ensure quantity received is accurate on both purchase orders and invoices.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly inventories as directed.
- Maintain receiving area and warehouse in an orderly and sanitary manner.
- Rotate stock and keep storage areas orderly.
- Report inventory discrepancies to F&B and Accounting Management.
- Enter completed requisitions into inventory software system.
- Processing internal transfers.
- Oversee and monitor received package logs and file accordingly.
- Ensure all perishable products are coded with date received.
- Perform shipping responsibilities in Storeroom Clerk’s absence.
- Perform other duties outlined on purchasing departmental duties worksheet.
- Record and report receiving discrepancies to Storeroom Clerk, F&B Management and Accounting.
- Assist with other projects or duties assigned by the Controller.

Responsibility & Authority:
- Ensures proper quality and quantity of purchased items are received.
- Ensures security of items and warehouse area.
- Maintains confidentiality of all vendor quotes, inventory levels and other privileged information.
- Maintain good communication with Controller, Clerks, Chefs and any other manager or employee.
- Organization and sanitation of receiving area and storeroom.
- Perform inventories as needed.
- Process internal transfers.
- Represent the department and resort in a positive manner.
- Prepare for various weather conditions and storage temperatures.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Good math skills, communication skills (written and verbal), computer knowledge or ability/willingness to learn. Previous receiving experience preferred. Prior Food and Beverage or hotel experience a plus.
