*Position is in the Duluth, MN office.
Summary:
Responsible for providing overall support for the Accounting office in administrative and accounting support. The candidate must be well spoken, have working knowledge of Microsoft suite, Excel, and some accounting experience preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting Duluth office accounting staff and other employees within the organization.
- Preparing financial statements
- Analyzing operational costs
- Budgeting and tax preparation
- Auditing financial statements
- Maintaining accounting systems
- Manage general bookkeeping, invoices and invoice processing, financial statements, as well as A/P and A/R tasks.
- General administrative duties.
- Answering phone calls and emails as well as preparing reports and documents.
- Project tracking (schedule, budget, etc…).
- Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish strategic goals.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, specifically Excel.
- Accounting experience.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Highly motivated.
- Ability to work independently or collaborate with a Team.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality as it pertains to sensitive accounting information.
- Associates degree is Accounting, Finance, or prior work experience in an accounting department.
