Overview
The Materials Coordinator manages materials usage and ensures parts are available at appropriate bases.
Responsibilities
- Ensures delivery of materials to all maintenance bases for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a daily basis.
- Ensures compliance with guidelines of the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and FAA rules and regulations.
- Advises Management of all pertinent parts information related to operational requirements.
- Coordinates with the parts/shipping department on all parts transfers to applicable bases.
- Monitors and transfers rotable parts to appropriate bases where a/c maintenance will be accomplished.
- Performs Aircraft on Ground (AOG) materials duties during non-business hours, as needed.
- Monitors AOG shipments to all bases and communicates to maintenance control the status of each.

Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience in a similar technical field.
- Prefer two years’ experience and knowledge in functional areas of aircraft routing systems, maintenance programs, purchasing and inventory control.
- Knowledge and user experience with software programs related to departmental systems and electronic media.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Must possess above average oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays and able to work extra hours when necessary.
- Must be able to work in business office environment, hangar and stockroom areas subjected to noises due to proximity of airport runways and maintenance activity.
- Repetitive motion such as: typing.
- Minimal physical exertion such as: pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking, and light lifting of boxes, bags, files, and electronic equipment not in excess of 30 lbs.
- Computer work, in a typical office environment sitting for the majority of the day.
