Workday Payroll Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 12 Months
We are hiring a Workday Analyst to support a surge in payroll-related projects following a major Workday implementation, with additional short-term workload requiring immediate expertise.
MISSION:
Help drive the successful delivery of prioritized payroll and absence-related initiatives by gathering requirements, supporting stakeholders, and ensuring effective testing within the Workday ecosystem.
MUST HAVES:
4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a Level 4 capacity
Strong Workday experience, particularly with Payroll and Absence modules
Experience with requirement gathering, user story creation, and manual testing
Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage confidently with stakeholders
PLUSSES:
Prior experience working specifically on Workday Payroll modules
Familiarity with Agile delivery environments
Background in supporting Workday implementations
DAY TO DAY:
Gather and document business requirements for payroll-related initiatives using Jira and Confluence
Translate requirements into clear user stories and support their delivery in an Agile environment
Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to align priorities and communicate project status confidently
Perform manual testing and validation within Workday to ensure high-quality deliverables
Support the Payroll Product Team in managing backlog items, especially post-implementation work
