Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented Intake Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient intake processes, ensuring efficient scheduling, insurance verifications, and providing exceptional administrative support. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Intake Specialist will be responsible for scheduling patients, registering outpatient procedures, outpatient clinic patients, and registered Emergency Room patients.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake processes, including collecting necessary information and documentation.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using our medical scheduling software, Meditech.
- Verify insurance information and collect copayments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Assist with the coordination of patient referrals and follow-up appointments as needed.
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone or in-person, providing excellent customer service.
Skills
- Proficiency in office management and administrative tasks, with experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and procedures.
- Friendly and customer service oriented.
