POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Materials Handler to join our team in Greenville, SC. This candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading materials within warehouse, storage, and plant facilities. Utilizing equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and conveyors, the Material Handler will move materials to and from aircraft, trucks, or trains within the storage facility. Following established practices and procedures, they will ensure the efficient execution of their duties. Key responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, utilizing various handling equipment, and maintaining adherence to safety guidelines. At Engineered Products, safety is paramount, so this role demands a keen adherence to safety regulations and guidelines while maintaining product quality.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load and unload materials within warehouse, storage, and plant facilities.
- Utilize equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and conveyors.
- Move materials to and from aircraft, trucks, or trains within the storage facility.
- Follow established practices and procedures for efficient execution of duties.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines at all times.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and conveyors.
- Ability to load and unload materials efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines.
- Attention to detail to ensure product quality.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING
- High school diploma required.
- Previous experience with required equipment and/or job position, preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at a time.
