Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead problem investigations and drive corrective actions for internal and external quality complaints.
- Routine communication with customers regarding complaints and resolutions.
- Daily communication with manufacturing management/supervision regarding quality system conformance issues and drive/coordinate corrective action.
- Quality System Documentation/Process development.
- Assist in the training of manufacturing personnel in the shop floor quality systems.
- Participation new products launch process.
- Maintenance of an effective working relationship within/between departments.
- Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Required
- 4 Year Degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience implementing quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Success in planning, executing and managing projects.
- Strong computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
- Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the business.
- Strong statistical analysis experience (minitab)
- AutoCAD experience (2D modeling)
- Comprehend functional analysis to aid in design of gauges
- Experience with (and working understanding of)
- Databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
- Part print reading
- Statistical Process Control
- Six Sigma Techniques
- Use of standard measurement equipment (micrometer, caliper, spectrophotometer, etc.)
- Programming advanced measurement equipment (i.e.360 degree laser measurement systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upwardly to top management and downward to a wide range of audiences.
- Excellent problem solving abilities and mathematical aptitude.
- Must be self-directed, motivated, and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Precise and articulate written and oral communication. Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and demonstrates individual and group presentation skills.
