What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Developer position at Engineering and Information Technologies Inc.?
EIT, Inc. is seeking a Training Developer to provide workforce development and support services to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Certification Services (AIR) Workforce Development Branch and other Aviation Safety (AVS) Service/Offices to improve the analysis, design, development, administration, implementation, and evaluation of the training program for the AIR workforce.
Duties:
- Develops individual and instructors’ training curriculum and course materials.
- Develops and revises training courses and prepares appropriate catalogues.
- Develops courses and instructional material to educate technical and non-technical personnel.
- Prepares instructor materials (course outline, background material, and training aids).
- Prepares student materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates and course evaluation forms).
- Provides second level training support.
- Provides standards, services, and guidance on training programs.
- Possesses exceptional interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple development efforts and tasks seamlessly.
- Experience facilitating client meetings and working sessions.
- Experience working with technical subject matter experts and stakeholders on content development.
- Experience developing instructional materials for multiple training modalities; including instructor-led, virtually facilitated, and web-based training.
- Experience collaborating with other instructional designers, graphic artists, programmers, 508 specialists, and quality assurance specialist.
- Experience with various eLearning authoring tools; specifically Articulate Storyline 360.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: 2-6 years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree.
- 5 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree.
- A master’s degree may be substituted for bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience, or a PhD may be substituted for bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience.
Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
