EVENTS TEAM MEMBER

This is a rewarding position working behind the scenes of Indianapolis's biggest sporting arenas, but also many other awesome venues.

Responsible for the installation and removal of furniture, plants/flowers and props for special events, including loading and unloading trucks, setting up and tearing down events within a team.

This is very physically demanding and requires flexibility in working days or nights

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install and remove plants/flowers and props for short-term special events making sure that the Engledow Group standardized levels of quality are met at each event location.
• Deliver the full scope of customer service to our client, ultimately providing client with a positive and successful, customized event.
• Maintain the assigned truck/van for cleanliness and general maintenance. Schedule repairs with the Engledow Maintenance Department or the local dealership as needed.
• Complete all work orders, timesheets and expense reports, submitting them to the appropriate account manager in a timely manner. Provide a copy of the work order to service personnel, if needed, for longer term events.
• Communicate the need for extra personnel or equipment in a timely manner.

EVALUATION FACTORS:

· Must have a strong interest and desire to work in special events.

· Must be service oriented to meet/exceed customers' needs.

· Requires the ability to communicate well in both written and verbal formats with individuals in various management levels and of diverse backgrounds.

· Must have the ability to adapt to change quickly and efficiently.

· Must have the ability to set the pace and create a team environment with all employees in the unit.

· Must be able to work independently in an efficient and organized manner.

· Must have strong physical endurance as the position is very labor intensive.

· Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to work flexible hours, Sunday through Saturday.

· Must have a good driving record and have the ability to read city and state maps.

This is a full-time year round position!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

• Carmel, IN: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Events: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
