Responsibilities:

The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for timely entry and management of each days natural gas trades into the ETRM system of record (TIES). This will include reconciliation of discrepancies with traders/marketers. The position will be responsible for processing and sending confirms to counterparties for the trades and for matching confirms from counterparties. Additionally, the position will support the natural gas scheduling group with activities such as entry of prior day settlement volumes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Processing and input daily/monthly commercial deals into database systems (TIES), including setting up new deals
  • Generating and modifying individual deal confirmations as needed for transmission to counterparties
  • Reviewing counterparty confirmations against commercial contracts and resolving issues related to discrepancies
  • Ensuring that all execution of documents is authorized in accordance with company policies
  • Ensuring proper retention of all confirms
  • Responding to various requests made internally and externally, including responding to operational questions, questions from internal audit, and assisting with commercial contract review projects
  • Provide support to scheduling group with activities such as input volumetric settlements from third party EBBs
Qualifications:
  • HS degree and some college coursework REQUIRED; College Degree preferred
  • Preference given to prior contract administration experience
  • Exposure to ETRM systems like TIES preferred
  • Reliable, self-motivated, team-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail required
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word software systems required
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Some flexibility to work hours needed to meet critical deadlines
