What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at ENSAFE?
We are EnSafe, an employee-owned, global professional services firm. We strive to provide cutting-edge, creative solutions for our clients. We have an exciting opportunity for a high performing Buyer to join our team. The preferred location for this position is in Dallas, TX.
The successful candidate procures parts, equipment, and supplies to support EnSafe’s field personnel by developing sources of supply, issuing purchase orders in accordance with company policy, verifying timely receipt of items, ensuring items received conform to order specifications, authorizing payment and resolving billing errors, and managing and controlling company inventory.
If you join our team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Receive and log purchase requisition (“PR”) requests from Project Managers (“PMs”) and field personnel.
- Identify best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements, negotiate terms/conditions and issue Purchase Orders (“POs”) consistent with EnSafe’s purchasing policy.
- Track all open POs and resolve all issues with respect to untimely delivery and/or non-conforming items or pricing.
- Receive and verify invoices for all Buyer’s orders and bill to appropriate client project or company overhead account.
- Arrange for the purchase or lease of new equipment and supplies, coordinate repair and maintenance of existing equipment inventory, arrange for the sale/disposal of obsolete equipment, and maintain purchasing related files and records including up to date price lists.
- Monthly billing of short and long term company-owned equipment and supplies usage to client projects.
- Oversee company vehicle fleet including new vehicle leasing, surrender or disposal of vehicles no longer needed, maintenance, upkeep and repairs, tags, license and fees.
- Assist PMs with client proposal pricing and available equipment options.
