Job Description

ENSCO is seeking an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support the U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command's MILSATCOM Program through the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. This position, located at Peterson SFB, will support a diverse set of strategic MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.

Duties include:

  • Design, plan, coordinate, execute testing and provide terminal operations support on the Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminals (FAB-T), Air Force Command Post Terminal (AFCPT), Time Distribution Subsystem Pre Processor (TDSPP), Milstar Messaging System (MMS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Ground Multi-band Terminal (GMT), various other systems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devices
  • Provide engineering and technician-level support for each of the above systems, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting, and system-level anomaly resolution
  • Identify and isolate software or hardware defects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client with regards to the modifications
  • Author and deliver technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies, technical white papers, and test reports

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited institution
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Motivated to learn and employ DoD/USAF test processes and documentation
  • Motivated to work with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
  • Ability to learn MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting
  • Ability to learn and employ handling procedures for Communications Security (COMSEC) materials and devices
  • ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Qualifications Desired

  • International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Certification (i.e. ASEP, CSEP, ESEP)
  • Familiarity with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation, preferably with Operational Test (OT) experience supporting a DoD Operational Test Agency or Organization
  • Familiarity working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
  • Knowledge of DoD system sustainment mission
  • Familiarity with MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with handling Communications Security (COMSEC) materials and devices
  • Experience operating or maintaining the following: FAB-T, AFCPT, TDSPP, MMS, GMT, GBS Receive Suites, cryptographic equipment (e.g., KIV-7M, ANDVT, KGV-11, KG-250), or related infrastructure and/or support equipment
  • Active SECRET clearance or higher
