Job Description
The Quality Control Supervisor position supports product teams and supervises inspection and calibration functions. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of quality control functions including cross-functional support to assure availability of materials to support production activities and meet customer delivery expectations. This position reports to the Senior Supply Chain & Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and coordinates quality control activities and assures conforming product is processed timely meeting delivery expectations.
- Actively participate in IPTs and FMEAs.
- Supports our customer quality audits and participate in internal quality audits.
- Participates in new product development and failure investigations.
- Use Lean Manufacturing tools to improve quality and reduce defects.
- Provide effective RCCA as required.
- Interface and communicate effectively with a variety of personnel in support of production including operators, quality engineers, inspectors, shop floor supervisors, program managers, project engineers and design engineers.
- Interface with suppliers and customers concerning program quality requirements.
- Provides leadership and direction to inspection and calibration personnel
- Oversees and coordinates activities to balance workload and achieve SQDC performance targets.
- Oversee and coordinate inspection requirements in support of in-house machining.
Requirements:
- The successful candidate has a BS/MS in science or engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering or equivalent experience and 5 years of experience in quality inspection.
- Interfacing with customers and suppliers concerning product quality.
- Working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems.
- Must have production floor experience, including a solid understanding of GD&T.
- Must have experience in root cause/corrective and preventative action and the ability to lead project teams and customers through the analysis.
- Must have machined parts inspection background.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite software.
- Significant experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement and strong problem-solving skills.
- CMM Programming & troubleshooting skills a plus
- 5 years of experience with PCDMIS preferred
Compensation:
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
