Job Description
EBAD is seeking a Calibration Technician reporting to the Receiving Inspection Supervisor. This position supports multiple teams and will be responsible for the calibration of EBAD's gages and for providing backup to the Receiving Inspection area. This role is based in Moorpark, CA.
Responsibilities:
Perform calibration on all gages that are calibrated internally.
- Accurately record the results of those calibrations. Manage in flow of gages to and from external calibration sources including the creation of purchase requisitions.
- Clean, repair and calibrate using standards which have an unbroken chain of traceability to nationally accepted standards with a total summation of accuracy.
- Develop new calibration procedures and revise existing procedures as needed.
- Communicate the status of gages that require calibration.
- Support Receiving Inspection (RI) with the inspection of incoming parts and materials.
- Maintain accurate, neat, and complete inspection records.
- Keep work area organized and clean and follow all established safety guidelines.
- Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals.
- Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or equivalent G.E.D. and3 years of experience with inspection of mechanical components in an aerospace or defense related company or related field.
Required experience includes:
- Capable of utilizing all standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers and drop indicators.
- Must be familiar with ISO/AS Quality System requirements.
- Must be able to read and interpret Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) or to learn GD&T.
- Must be able to demonstrate CMM programming for a typical EBAD part within 9 months of starting the position.
- Must be able to read and understand military specifications and industry standards.
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management.
- Must have basic PC fundamentals, knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
Desired skills:
Six Sigma Green Belt through ASQ, CQE/CQM Certification program is a plus. Experience working directly with internal/external customers and suppliers
Compensation:
Salary Range: $55,000-85,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
