Dining Room Host

POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting/Seating Residents with a warm welcome, a smile, eye contact and open body language.
• Giving a fond farewell, communicated with sincerity and warmth.
• Reviewing phone messages and online reservation and updating reservation books.
• Returning phone calls with questions or confirmations.
• Working with manager to create server sections and mapping larger reservations.
• Answering phone calls within 3 rings and communicating messages to management.
• Taking To Go orders.
• Assisting with transition between lunch and dinner meal periods.
• Cleaning of all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining equipment in good working order while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department, and County health department.
• Communicating guest needs to servers/managers.
• Consistently following Food & Beverage sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by Dining Room Manager and Executive Chef.
• Assisting in running food/beverages to tables.
• Completing opening and closing procedures as well as performing running side work throughout shift.
• Cleaning all spills, and broken glassware/dishes immediately, using floor signs when necessary.
• Working as a team and effectively communicating with management, servers, and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other associates.
• Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of restaurant experience is preferred.
• Certified in proper food handling, typically through a ServSafe Certification.
• Experience working in a POS system is preferred.
• Great collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic English skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the workday.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and hold up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, bend and stretch frequently in small tight areas.

Compensation and Benefits:

Enso Village is committed to equal pay and transparency. The salary range for this position is $20.00 -$23.00 per hour. **This is a non-tipped position. This salary range provided as a general guideline and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors, including candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, external non-profit market data, and business considerations.
