CLINICAL ALLERGY SPECIALIST
Maryland ENT is seeking a compassionate and organized Allergy Specialist with previous experience administering allergy testing and shots. This is a full-time position located at our Johnston’s Professional Building location. This position is starting at $22hr. This role will report to the Practice Administrator.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Administering allergy tests, skin tests, and pulmonary function tests
· Assist Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.
· Maintain patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.
· Educate patients on allergy management and prevention
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· High School diploma or GED equivalent
· Current CPR Certification required
· Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
· Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred
· Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT REQUIRED.
