Engineer

COMPENSATION RANGE: 63,000.00 - 83,000.00

Job Description
Install and maintain production and transmission equipment and computer workstations. Prepare and execute maintenance schedules for studio, computer, and transmission equipment.

Essential Functions

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production and transmission equipment and computers.
• Perform regular maintenance and repair of equipment using work tools and test equipment.
• Set up and install both studio and field production and transmission equipment, microwaves, satellite dish, etc.
• Prepare and execute maintenance schedule for studio, computer, and transmission equipment.
• Assist in the maintenance and installation of computer workstations and computer-based post production and automation equipment.
• Fill in for operation staff when necessary.

Required Education and Experience

• Understanding, experience and exposure to TV and Radio broadcasting.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and communicate with other departments as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work with television and/or radio equipment, Microsoft Office, PC consoles, and the experience to act and think “out of the box” in order to resolve problems and office needs.
• English/Spanish a plus.
• 2 years of experience working in an engineering capacity, especially in a television or radio production facility.
• Knowledge in non-linear editing systems and servers.
• Experience in maintaining television and/or radio transmission automation systems.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. This position regularly requires weekend work and the ability to be on-call if necessary. Actual schedule and hours may vary.

Reports directly to Chief Engineer
