Environmental Allies are looking for a hard-working, dedicated construction superintendent to join our growing team. The individual in this role will be responsible for devising construction schedules and timelines and overseeing contractors and subcontractors throughout the project. Candidates should have experience with project management and construction, as well as the ability to adhere to deadlines and budgets restrictions. Role entails managing multiply projects to include heavy civil work and drainage improvement reconstruction. Position includes travel to multiple projects in the Houston Metro area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Day to day Supervision of assigned projects
• On-going project site visits
• Review projects with Superintendents
• Pre-construction meetings
• Ensure superintendents are turning in daily production reports on time and in the correct format
• Review and approve daily production reports
• Two week Look-A-Ahead for schedule updates and reviews
• Participate in project close-out meetings
• Budgeting
• Review and complete material Take-Off as needed
• Client and employee interfacing
• Vendor Management
• Asset Management
• Communication
• Risk and Safety mitigation
• Work scopes includes but are not limited: storm, waterline, sanitary, paving, and electrical.
• Interpreting blueprints and drawings
• Managing schedules and quality work.
• Manage construction crew and subcontractors during construction projects to ensure work was completed to scope
• Inspection & Quality Assurance
• Make sure company polices and procedures are implemented and followed as directed
• Monthly safety audits, equipment maintenance and usage, work quality, production inspections and reviews
• Oversee GPS & Laser Surveying
• Crew reviews as directed
Qualifications
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry with 3 years drainage infrastructure improvements
• Minimum of 10 years as a Superintendent
• Familiar with equipment, materials, and methods used in the construction industry
• Excellent Blueprint Reading
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written to convey information
• Ability to work management to resolve any issues that arise on a project
• Must be proficient in reading and understanding project specific documents
• Must be able to understand and follow directions efficiently
• Must be able to work well under pressure and within set timelines
• Management skills, experience in team and project management
• Must be knowledgeable of safety procedures and protocol
• Ability to work with and manage a large team of contractors and subcontractors seamlessly
• Heavy Equipment Operator (Bulldozers, Excavators, Dirt Scrappers, Motor graders, Backhoes, and Skid steers) a plus
• Bilingual Spanish/ English preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus
• Carpentry experience a plus
• GPS Machine Control a plus
• MS Project s plus
• Primavera Project Planner software (P6) a plus
• Unifer Primavera/Oracle a plus
• AutoCAD a plus
• Must be accustomed to working outdoors and in all weather conditions
• Must be able to perform physical activities that may require walking, stooping, bending, lifting, kneeling, balancing, climbing, and handling material, equipment, and tools
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, E-Verify, and background check
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be willing and able to work afterwork hours as needed
