Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hazmat Response Technician. The Technician is responsible for completing field and industrial service activities in a safe and compliant manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in restoration industry practices. Activities include but are not limited to emergency spill response, industrial cleaning, hazardous waste and materials cleanup, and environmental site remediation.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to hazardous material incidents, including chemical spills
- Perform cleaning and decontamination procedures using appropriate methods and equipment
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for demolition, removal, and restoration tasks
- Perform physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects
- Identify, load/unload, transport, and dispose of hazardous/non-hazardous materials
- Clean contaminated equipment/areas
- Available for emergency response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (this job requires the availability for overtime on short notice)
Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year trade/construction experience preferred
- Ability to use and wear Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (will be required to be able to drive company vehicle pulling trailers)
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. (may have to travel out of town on short notice for extended periods of time)
- Hazardous waste experience and certifications are ideal
- Previous environmental services industry experience is a plus
- Heavy equipment operations experience is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
