Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Instructor to manage an ongoing youth dance program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and work well with children from preschool to preteen. This role involves teaching dance techniques, fostering creativity, and promoting a positive learning environment that encourages personal growth and artistic expression.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the skill levels of students, from preschoolers to adults.
- Instruct students in various dance styles, focusing on technique, rhythm, and performance skills.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their dance abilities and confidence.
- Organize performances and recitals to showcase students' progress and achievements.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to promote dance programs and events.
Experience
- Proven experience in teaching dance.
- Background in childhood development or experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of theater can enhance the performance aspect of dance instruction.
- A passion for working with students of varying ages and backgrounds is essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
