We are looking for a Production Chef to oversee all aspects of Epicured’s culinary operations, reporting directly to the General Manager of our Healing Foods production facility. The right candidate will be a proven leader in the kitchen, capable of managing a team to consistently meet and exceed quality standards and production deadlines. This individual should have experience working in high-volume commercial kitchens and should possess an understanding of how to drive scalability and efficiency through both process and personnel management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary accountable person for all aspects of Epicured’s culinary production operations, ensuring that our varied menu is produced in a consistent and timely manner, in accordance with our quality standards.
- Train and supervise Epicured’s Culinary Team, providing guidance on essential skills and techniques to maximize quality and efficiency.
- Define and establish quality standards for the Culinary Team, and collaborate with the General Manager to implement processes to enforce these standards.
- Oversee the Culinary Team’s adherence to Epicured’s established personnel, food safety, and sanitation protocols. Escalate issues to the General Manager, and work with leadership to implement better procedures where needed.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all production paperwork, including daily production sheets, food safety logs, and sanitation logs.
- Collaborate with the Chief Culinary Officer and General Manager to support the launch of new menu items. Take an active role in executing on research and development initiatives and team training.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to maintain the proper inventory of production equipment and ingredients. Communicate proactively about any concerns or needs.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced kitchen environments, particularly those producing a varied menu at scale.
- Keen eye for developing personnel and operational strategies to drive efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal food safety regulations, including USDA, FDA, and HACCP standards.
The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience, starting at $80,000 to $100,000.
