Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is a key driver of organizational effectiveness and fostering employee engagement at EpiCypher®. With a focus on employee relations, compliance, leadership development, compensation, and continuous improvement of workplace culture, the Human Resources Generalist is instrumental in implementing tailored policies, procedures, and initiatives that align with EpiCypher’s goals and objectives, cultivating a positive and thriving work environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance, support, and resources to managers and employees in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Partner with the Director and executives on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures and update the employee handbook annually, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Administer the compensation and payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and adjustments.
- Collaborate with finance to maintain compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Design, administer, and analyze employee engagement surveys and develop and implement strategies and initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
- Collaborate with HR team to implement targeted engagement and training initiatives, promoting effective communication and supporting leadership growth and development.
- Research and analyze compensation trends to update and maintain salary bands, ensuring alignment with industry standards and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with executives and senior management to develop and implement succession planning strategies to identify and develop top talent within the company.
- Partner with HR team to implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and overall workplace culture.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for company policies and procedures to ensure consistency.
- Maintain and update the HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records and generate reports as required.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, regulatory changes, new technologies, and best practices in human resources.
- Manage and maintain electronic employee personnel files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Attend weekly meetings with the Director, Commercial Operations. Present updates showing progress and discussing future directions.
- Protect the confidentiality of all matters related to EpiCypher and its employees.
- Adhere to safety training and protocols.
- Adhere to the EpiCypher Employee Handbook.
- Other human resources related duties and projects, as needed.
Credentials and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum three to five years of experience in HR Generalist roles.
- Employee relations and conflict resolution experience is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems, ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience processing payroll.
- Knowledge of current federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Must be highly motivated and have a collaborative team mindset.
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work under minimal supervision and consistently meet deadlines.
- Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the Human Resources Generalist position, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods as well as move about inside their office. The employee must be able to operate a computer and necessary office equipment. The employee must be able to position self to move objects and boxes weighing up to 10 pounds throughout the workday.
