The primary purpose of this job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping function in accordance with ERS’s established policies and procedures and any governmental regulations as apply.

Residents enjoy amenities and services found in few retirement communities for people with low-incomes such as transportation, gardening areas, complimentary laundry facilities, and chaplain services. The older adults who live in our Affordable Living communities are given the opportunity to live and flourish in a friendly, loving environment.
Essential Functions/Accountabilities:
- Is responsible for day-to-day housekeeping function such as cleaning, polishing, sanitizing, sweeping, vacuuming, etc., all environmental surfaces, in the common areas of the facility (floor, ceiling, walls, fixtures, furniture, appliances), ensuring that established Infection Control practices and safety precautions are followed at all times.
- Assures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
- Reports all accidents, incidents, hazardous conditions or equipment to the Supervisor and keeps work/assignment areas free of hazardous objects, such as protruding mop/broom handles, unnecessary equipment, etc. Assures that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, meal times, and end of the work day.
- Reports any maintenance issues, such as burned out light bulbs, exit lights, ovERSead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., to the Community Manager or Maintenance Staff as soon as possible.
- Completes other responsibilities that may become necessary/appropriate to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of (18) years of age.
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices.
