Erie Bronze & Aluminum Company, a green sand-casting foundry that specializes in non-leaded bronze alloys, is seeking a CNC Machinist/Operator to join their 1st shift team in Erie, Pennsylvania.

The successful candidate will have 5 years’ experience with both CNC mills and lathes. They must have excellent blueprint reading skills, be able to work with close tolerances of plus or minus 0.002 and utilize all inspection tooling (i.e micrometers, calipers, etc). Experience with Okuma controls preferred but not required. CMM experience with both touch probe and vision is preferred. They will also be a production-oriented self-starter who has the ability and interpersonal skills to successfully work as a team player. Successful candidates must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes for machining of bronze castings.
- Follow written instructions and machine castings to specifications called out on drawings and operation tickets.
- Inspect parts using calipers, mics, gauges, and a visual CMM and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform manual operations, such as benchwork and hand finishing.
- Make process adjustments including setting tool offsets, tool maintenance, and use of tool presetter.
- Assure proper utilization of equipment to meet productivity goals.
- Keep all machinery and equipment in good repair. Keep the area clean and organized.
- Review operating procedures for quality improvement and scrap reduction opportunities.
- Adhere to safety and health programs to comply with OSHA/DEP/EPA and other regulatory guidelines.
- Perform all work safely and efficiently as required by the type of job function and perform other related work requested/required/directed by management.
