What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Account Representative position at Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital?
Provide patient account services to include verifying patient insurance benefits/eligibility, create financial charts, obtain required patient signatures and update logs. Assist with payment collections, post physician charges and other designated administrative tasks. Verify and document detailed patient insurance benefits and eligibility information in HMS, logs and in financial charts for all inpatient and outpatients services. Verify eligibility for all Medicare patients and printout eligibility inquire. Check in/register patient when needed to include financial counseling, payment collections etc. Possibly able to work from home one day per week.
