About us

Erudaitius Law, PC is a growing law firm with our office based out of Escondido, CA and a virtual office in Rancho Bernardo. We are looking for an associate attorney with a focus in family law. Family law mastery is required for this position, preferably with 3 years’ experience at a family law firm. To be considered, you must have strong analytical and writing skills, and extensive trial and motion practice experience. Applicants should be organized and comfortable with handling a significant volume of cases. Thorough understanding of preparation of mandatory judicial council forms, P&A drafting, discovery and deadlines.

Duties Include the following but are not limited to:

  • Assigning paralegal appropriate tasks to ensure cases are maintained
  • Obtaining and preparing evidence for hearings and trials
  • Researching and confirming whether information obtained is accurate and can be used for specific cases
  • Preparing written reports for cases and arranging legal arguments if an attorney decides to file a lawsuit
  • Preparing and drafting motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, documents, and other correspondence
  • Performing legal research
  • Frequently interacting with clients to ensure updates are given and clients are aware of what is happening with their case.
  • Drafting pleadings and documents and filing motions
  • Reserving court reporters for upcoming hearings
  • Maintaining files, attorney scheduling, billing, and case management
  • Conducting interviews with the parties involved in domestic disputes, divorce or child custody
  • Putting together a list of potential witnesses

Qualifications:

  • A licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar
  • Knowledge of court forms, Clio, Outlook, legal research.
  • Dissomaster and MyCase is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in family law.
  • Organized, self-starter who can work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable researching applicable law, drafting and arguing request for orders, making court appearances, displaying fluency with discovery issues, including complex discovery.
  • Must have good writing and verbal skills, along with good courtroom etiquette.
  • Professional demeanor, dress, and speech.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Must be able to handle pressure and work with high conflict cases.

Experience:

· 3 years at a family law firm (preferred)

· Prior hospitality experience is a plus.

Pay:

· Starts at $80,000-$100,000/ year DOE

Schedule:

· 8 Hour Shift, Monday-Friday

· Various Paid Holidays
