Weir ESCO Remote from Anywhere in the United States Purpose of Role: Weir ESCO Global operations is on a journey to operational excellence. The Senior Project Manager of Global Operations will be a leader and skilled problem solver. The role will start working on creating a systematic approach and process to run one of the most important bottom line projects for the business. This initial project is tasked with accelerating the performance of our largest foundry and will include the creation of several cross functional workstreams to deliver performance improvement in talent, process, engineering, and equipment reliability. Future projects could include long term capacity planning, creation of scalable capital and manufacturing engineering project management process, and other complex projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Manage from inception to execution of projects, ensuring the delivery of specified deliverables within agreed time, quality and cost parameters. Develop and build project specifications, project plan baseline including scope, key activities, deliverables, resource requirements, milestones, and deadlines. Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships amongst stakeholders by building confidence and trust with clear professional communications and assured expectation management. Conduct progress reviews to give stakeholders confidence that projects will be delivered on time, within budget and to agreed standards. Highlight key risks and provide insights to potential countermeasures. Change Management: Conduct reviews to assess project outcomes and to identify and capture lessons learned to enable continuous improvement. Contribute to the provision of documentation for new or improved processes, products and services and to ensure that good practice is disseminated throughout the organization. Communication: Ensure team members are informed, have clear goals, and work collaboratively and in partnership with clients and other stakeholders to achieve planned outcomes. Proactively organize and stay in touch with workstreams to ensure consistent collaboration. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above Candidates should have a track record of successful management and delivery of projects as well as experience of successful relationship development and management in cross functional areas Prefer experience in operations and lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles A recognized qualification in project management (e.g. APM, PRINCE2) is desirable Must be permanently eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship Founded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
