We are currently hiring a Group Leader for our Standard Final Assembly Department. We offer an awesome benefits package, no mandatory weekend work, clean environment, and opportunities for advancement!
Hours: 6am - 4:30pm Mon- Thurs, with the possibility of overtime on Fridays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads department to perform final assembly of test chambers.
- Determines daily work assignments, covers for absent team members.
- Updates KPI’s.
- Documents standard procedures.
- Reviews schematics/drawings.
- Facilitates daily group meetings.
- Enforces use of standardized work procedures and work standards.
- Responds to work station Andon, solves immediate problems.
- Inspects finished assemblies, sends to rework/repair if necessary.
- Verifies labor tracking for team members, processes time cards.
- Submits requests to purchasing for manufacturing supplies and tools.
- Determines labor required for department, participates in the interview process, trains team members, writes performance reviews, issues disciplinary action, approves vacation requests.
- Uses hand, power and measuring tools. Knowledge of soldering and brazing copper pipes.
- Enforces safety rules/policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience in machine wiring, refrigeration, reading electrical schematics preferred.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required. Use of Microsoft Excel, Word, email.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Salary : $29 - $33
