Electric Utility Distribution QC Inspector / Lineman
Located in Baltimore, MD. 21230
1 year plus assignment
Hybrid remote : Will be in the office on Mondays, but all other days will be in the field; you can travel from your home into the field during the days outside of Monday.

Electrical QC Inspector
80-90% travel within the BGE service territory.
QC Inspection of the performance of utility construction crews to oversee standards and make sure designs match the work being done.
Looking for someone knowledgeable in Utility Construction from a construction or design standpoint such as previous exp as Quality Control, Project management, Inspectors, Lineman, Construction management, or designer type role to do QC inspection on Electric Distribution projects.
Focus for these inspectors will be on Electrical Distribution work.
Observe and the quality of construction of Electric Utility distribution projects..
Ability to read and understand construction prints and specifications.
Ability to use laptop / tablet
Ability to use computer applications like Outlook, Word, Etc.
QC Inspector uses their own vehicle for site visits, then is reimbursed for mileage
Ability to affectively communication with BGE inspectors and vendors on and off job site
Previous utility construction experience required, preferably with BGE.
A Quality Control Inspector QC Inspector for BGE is a high visibility position; therefore, the inspector must always present themselves in a professional manner, with honesty and integrity.
A QC Inspector must possess good interpersonal skills and willingness to learn. A QC Inspector is an individual who observes, monitors, and documents the execution of construction work performed in the field by utility contractors and crews.
A QC Inspector primarily performs quality inspections on work currently being performed and / or sections of project work that has been recently completed, utilizing established checklists.
Work Experience - Candidates for the QC Inspector positions : Shall have Electric utility experience. Past QC Inspector experience is preferred.
Qualifications - knowledge of utility work practices and procedures, and knowledge of the utility Safety and other applicable OSHA safety rules.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities A QC Inspector's primary duties are (but are not limited to : ) Spend 80-90% of their time in the field performing QC inspections, inspection of existing utility facilities.
Must have Fire Retardant (FR) Clothing, hard hat, and safety glasses. Candidate must have a vehicle that can be used for transportation to and from work sites.
Mileage will be reimbursed at 65.5 cents per mile.
